They will last a very long time! At least 1000 dryer cycles. You will notice them become, strangely, dense and/or hard, this is a great indication that it's time to replace them.

You could use your dryer balls to fill the base of pot plants so they are not as heavy. Add to pots to help hold artificial flowers. Our wool dryer balls are 100% organic and contain no chemicals they are safe to pull apart and compost.

No you do not need to wash your wool dryer balls. As they are always in contact with clean clothes they should not get dirty.

The wool dryer balls get in between items as they circulate in the dryer, helping to separate them as they tumble, promoting better air circulation, which quickly evaporates moisture.

Add 2-4 drops of essential oil to each dryer ball, allow them to sit 5-10 minutes before using them. The longer the oils are absorbed into the dryer balls before use the more slowly they will be dispersed in the dryer. Slower is better!

Pure essential oils should not leave an oily spot on your wool dryer ball, however there are a handful of oils that can leave a stain due to the naturally occurring darker or yellowish colouring from the original botanicals. Essential oils will enhance the fragrance of your laundry, but the stains will not reduce the effect of the Wool Dryer Balls.
